How do I order swatches of fabric for my custom design?
Go to the Fabric Choices page and browse our options. Fill in the form at the bottom of the page to request a swatch.
How do I know if there are matching or coordinating fabrics?
Many of our fabric choices have Collections with coordinating patterns and colors.
How do I choose thickness and filler?
When we speak with you, we’ll find out what comfort level you’re seeking and will advise accordingly.
How do I order exactly what I want rather than what shows up on the website?
We’ll find out exactly what you want your custom cushion, pillow or home décor item to look and feel like, and then have a design conversation to confirm the details.
Can I send a drawing of what I want?
Yes! Please do.
How do I know which material is best for my design?
During our design consultation, we will help you narrow your choices to what will work best.
How do I know if accents such as lace or piping will look right or be possible?
We will also discuss accents with you during our phone consultation.
How do I know the proper dimensions?
Measure the area you’re going to cushion and we’ll assist you with the rest.

What is Crypton Fabric?
Crypton Fabric is specially engineered so that every fiber is encapsulated with a patented impenetrable moisture barrier that protects the fabric from spills, keeping stains from setting in the foam of the cushions. The fabric can also be treated with a disinfectant when used in conjunction with their EPA-registered Crypton Disinfectant & Deodorizer. It’s well-known to be one of the very best fabrics on the market; it’s even been used in Buckingham Palace and the White House!
How durable are Sunbrella Fabrics and do they provide UV protection?
Sunbrella Fabrics, made in South Carolina, come with a 5-year durability and fade-resistant warranty. They are highly UV resistant, holding their color even with lengthy sun exposure.

How do I wash my cushion, pillows, draperies or other custom items?
We recommend spot cleaning all of your upholstery fabric for best results. Use cold water and mild detergent (such as Woolite). Drying is NOT recommended – Air Dry Only.
If you have chosen a Premier Prints fabric, the manufacturer recommends not laundering as it may shrink.
If you do choose to wash your Hearth and Home custom upholstered fabric or item(s), we are not responsible for any damages that may occur during the process. Hand tufted and button tufted cushions cannot have their cover removed for washing.

Yes. Please contact us, we would love to work with you and become your Hearth and Home provider of choice.
Can I supply my own fabric?
Yes
When sending in your own fabric (COM);
Fabric must be mailed to The Hearth and Home Store and clearly labeled to ensure that it will unite effortlessly with your order here at our shop.
Step 1:
Notify The Hearth and Home Store that you are sending COM for your custom order when corresponding.
Step 2:
Prepare your fabric for shipping.
When mailing your COM fabric to us, please include the following.
Your Name
Description Of Your Custom Product (such as: bay window, outdoor cushions, pillows)
Order #
Fabric Description ( ie color, pattern and Vendor)
Picture of Fabric ( send via email)
Company Name that may be sending your fabric. ( If applicable)
We do accept COM that is shipped directly from another source, but MUST be labeled with your name on the invoice. Please attach or send a copy of your invoice that includes: your name, phone number, invoice number, email address.
For reversible COM fabric, please indicate which side should be visible on your finished product.
