For 2024, we’re seeing a shift towards soothing yet optimistic colors. Think pastel blues that calm the soul, earth tones that reconnect us with nature, and deep contrast tones that allow light accents to pop. In no particular order of importance, here are the Colors of 2024:
Starting with Sherwin Williams’s Upward, this is a light “breezy” blue made to lighten a space by being used as the primary dominant color. Upward compliments many spaces as it works well with white, warm grays, all shades of wood and even black.

Next is one of my favorites, Cracked Pepper by Behr. Dark colors are somewhat unpopular due to their nature to darken spaces. Lately, the trend has been to darken the space to allow the details to pop. It’s a risky move, but the results speak for themselves. Cracked pepper is somewhat of a compromise as it’s not only contrasty, but it’s right in between a dark black and a neutral dark gray. This color works well as an accent and a primary.

For 2024, Pantone’s Color of the Year is “Peach Fuzz”. This is an incredibly warm color that will likely dominate the internet come Spring/Summer 2024. This pastel shade brings a vibrance and energy to a space that would work well for accent pillows, throws, rugs, and especially outdoor cushions. While we do not yet supply any Peach Fuzz fabrics, we are always making custom orders, including many custom materials from Spoonflower. Last but not least is Blue Nova by Benjamin Moore. A blend of violet and blue, Blue Nova can be a primary and an accent. This unique color as paint works with a variety of environments and will change tones from warm to cool throughout the day.
So when accenting to this color as a primary can be a challenge. Blue Nova can complement the following palette below or a range of blue shades as well.
